2010 Report: Commercialization of Stem Cell Technology: A Regeneration of Economic Development

Stem cell technology has captured the focus of both the research and public communities because of its cutting-edge scientific discoveries and the promise of truly reparative therapeutics. At a number of centers, stem cell research has an economic development impact as well. We will highlight the Center for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine (CSCRM) in Ohio as an example of the linkage that can be established between academic research in the non-profit sector with commercialization of products and services in the for-profit arena.
