To address concerns that stem cell treatments are being marketed to consumers around the world without safeguards in place to ensure safety or likely efficacy and without scientific basis, the International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) launched A Closer Look at Stem Cell Treatments. This web-based resource for patients considering stem cell treatments seeks to provide patients, their families, physicians and other caregivers with access to information they need to make informed decisions about their care.
